The Origin of Our Name
You may think that “Studio” and “Aerospace” is an unconventional pairing of words, and you would be right. Our name derives from two chapters in the life of Christophe (Chris) Hamel, our founder and principal:
- As a young entrepreneur in France, Chris owned Studio CH, a company that provided lighting and sound for bands and special events
- He owned a lamp design company called Studio Design, obtaining a U.S. Patent (D541971) on a sword-shaped, wall-mounted lamp
